The NHS estimates that 17.4% of people aged 40 to 45 suffer from long-sightedness. This percentage increases with age as eyesight begins to deteriorate. Long-sighted sufferers have difficulty seeing their mirror image in focus, making it difficult to apply makeup or shave without the aid of their spectacles.

The Reflexion Cosmetic Mirror can be altered to an individual's specific sight requirements, providing an in-focus, magnified image of their face. The mirror eliminates the need for normal vision-correction spectacles which obstruct the face, making it easier to perform personal grooming tasks. Using a pressurised mechanism to control a flexible membrane, the magnification of the mirror can be adjusted until a clear image is obtained.
