An average of 37 children under 16 were killed or seriously injured every week on roads in the UK in 2007. Currently most children under nine do not have a true sense of speed and distance. Road safety awareness skills might therefore be learnt in early ages more effectively through the use of interactive learning tools.

An educational interactive flash game was developed for use by young children to practice road safety basic. The children can interact with the game to move within the simulated roads using a Wii remote control or a keyboard.

Besides helping them to learn basic skills the product can also boost confidence while the child if playing in the virtual world without being accompanied by an adult.
