Studying at Brunel has allowed me to expand on my technical and design skills. As the final year project by nature has been left vague and ambiguous, this basically left the door open for any type of artefact that falls under Multimedia Technology and Design. This openness has allowed me extend my technical knowledge and creativity by creating a socially integrated website.

DuoMesh - Social Networking Website for RSS Feed & Mobile Content

DuoMesh is a dynamic website for aggregating user submitted content found on the internet and being able to distribute this content to mobile devices as well as having a user friendly web based front-end. DuoMesh supports XML/RSS content known as feeds and allows users to see what feeds are the most popular at any given time as well as being able to browse through catalogues of topics known as tags. Users can create a personalised homepage that contains the latest information that is important to them; users can also keep track of other users by adding them as friends and are able to take a look at their friend’s personalised homepages. The most popular feed and user’s personalised homepages can also be redistributed back into RSS to allow users to reuse the content in different contexts.
