Let Loose (Ethnic Hair and Beauty)
African Americans yield a purchasing power of over $650 billion and Britain's diverse communities £120 billion (1). Black women in the UK spend six times more on haircare than white women (2). There is a huge market in ethnic hair care. One of the most popular styles is hair braiding. The main problem is taking the braids out, which can take up to two days with up to two thousand braids to unravel. The Let Loose de-braider will assist the user in cutting down the time it takes to take braids out, leaving more time to carry on with today's busy lifestyles. It will also be beneficial for hairdressers as they can have more time to fit more customers in, therefore making more profit.
It will be a stylish product that will initially be used at hairdressers and sold to their customers. It is an easy to use product that has very little competition from similar products. Let Loose has been created as a brand which will develop products as a contemporary tool kit for ethnic hair styling.
