In the essence of developing and designing products, I have worked to achieve a balanced relationship between function and aesthetics.
My creative vision has been enhanced with an injection of enthusiasm, passion and focused energy.
I am particularly keen on functional user-centric products and enjoy the challenge it brings. I am motivated by each stage of the design process from concept through to prototypes. My experience of different cultures influences my design thoughts.
Experience:YELL Group plc (2005-06) - Graphics Designer: designing adverts for many large clients including Volkswagen, Natwest and BMW.
Gained skills in Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, FreeHand and PIC programming. Also gained practical skills in model making & hand sketching.

Over half the first-time mothers-to-be do not seek professional antenatal care because of a busy lifestyle or simply are not interested. But also, most vulnerable are the ethic minority groups because of the language barrier. Mums-to-be who neglect their health can have a detrimental effect on the health of their baby.
One of the main hidden health risks is that the amount of caffeine consumed which can be found in hot beverages and various foods. Research shows that 70-85% of pregnant women consume caffeine throughout their pregnancy term. Consumption of excess caffeine during pregnancy can result in low birth weight babies or even miscarriages.
‘mamatoto’ aims to increase the awareness of the health hidden risks of excess caffeine during pregnancy. It serves as a practical educational resource by providing weekly health tips, stages of the baby’s development – informing week-by-week inside information about their baby and monitoring their daily caffeine intake. The total daily caffeine consumed is displayed, and alerts the user when they have exceeded the recommended caffeine amount of 300mg.
This personalised device is user-friendly which reassuringly guides women through their pregnancy term. ‘mamatoto’ is also designed to cater for ethic groups to overcome the communication barrier.
‘mamatoto’ is for pregnant women who value their health and the health of their baby. It will help to maintain a healthy balanced diet, raise awareness of caffeine consumption and reassure mothers-to-be a healthy pregnancy.
