Over the past few years, my technical and creative skills have advanced into new areas such as Mobile Information Device Programming (MIDP), Software Development, Wireless Data Networks, XML Technologies and E-Systems technologies that are based on Java Technologies such Servlets and JSP’s. This Advancement in skills motivated me into developing an application which integrates the new portable digital pen and paper technology with Server Side Technologies. This application is dubbed “The Digital Pen Application”.
But at the sometime, I must admit that all the developments came as a result of studying “Mobile Computing” at Brunel University and I hope to use this experience in the future perhaps pursuing a career in Web development, Software development or Wireless networts.
Digital Pen Application
No matter what business, industry or educational sector you belong to, there are two pieces of equipment that you are guaranteed to own; pen and paper. The challenge therefore for most organisations is how to move into the 21st century and adopt or use information enablement technologies such as laptop computers, Tablet PC's and PDA's, to solve problems without alienating the vast majority of people that work, train or study with them by drastically changing the way in which they work.
The "Digital Pen Application"however is one solution to this problem as it is comprised of a paper enabled by Anoto functionality and a digital pen which is used in similar was as an ordinary pen and paper.
The "Digital Pen Application"aid a user in using a Digital Pen to to tick on a special exam paper and the exam paper processed before s/he leaves the exam hall.
